A few weeks ago they held an open day at Hillmorton Hospital which occupies part of the site formerly known as Sunnyside Hospital. Sunnyside was opened as a "mental asylum" in 1863 and closed in 1999. The main building was demolished but many of the more modern outbuildings remain and are still in use today.
One of my wife's ancestors spent a little time in the asylum so we went to take a look at the historical display. On the way back to our car I noticed this sign.
